It was wonderful to present the trophies and medals to our CONFRO and QISSN teams after recently competing in the Mackay tournament over the holidays.

Our QISSN ladies won the "Beryl Friday Shield", and it was fitting to present this to our female players at our NAIDOC assembly. Beryl Friday was instrumental in the creation of Netball Queensland’s Indigenous Advisory Committee. She is an Aboriginal Australian woman from Ingham, North Queensland. Beryl has been in is blazing a trail for hundreds of young Indigenous girls, championing the importance of education.

Our boys were presented with the 'Referees Team Fair Play Award' and we congratulate them on their efforts.

It was a terrific week of sport for St Michael's College and we look forward to sharing with you some new programs that will be launching for 2023 in this space! Stay tuned.
