The Instrumental Music Program at St Michael's College offers students expert private tuition in voice, piano, guitar, bass and drums.​​
All of our instrumental  teachers are  highly experienced and most importantly, passionate about teaching!

Singing Teacher

Jamie Lee Wilson is the Head of Music Performance at the College and is a highly experienced and qualified vocal teacher and award winning singer and songwriter. Jamie holds a Bachelors Degree from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and teaches a wide range of contemporary vocal  techniques used by today’s leading artists.

Drums and Music Production​ Teacher

Jake Morton has over seven years experience as a Drum teacher and performer. He completed a Bachelor of Popular Music with Honours​​ at Griffith University and also holds a Diploma of Music from GCIT. Jake is also a highly experienced studio engineer and has toured 
and been nominated for several live music awards.

Piano Teacher

Sarah Matheson is currently a student at the Queensland Conservatorium and has been studying piano for over 15 years. She is an exceptional pianist and has performed at many venues, including;  Alfred and Constance, Vinnies, and The Brisbane Jazz Club. Sarah is proficient in teaching all styles of Piano, including, Classical, Jazz, and Contemporary, and tailors lessons to assist each student in working toward their desired musical goals.

Guitar Teacher

Gerard is a well-known guitar teacher on the Gold Coast. He has taught hundreds of guitarists of all levels, covering everything from rock and pop to jazz and classical. Gerard’s musical journey began as a self-taught guitarist. Through hundreds of hours of listening and learning from guitar greats, Gerard secured a place at a prestigious Conservatorium of Music Brisbane and received his Bachelor of Music Majoring in Jazz Guitar. With Gerard’s website of well-structured supporting lesson plans your child will learn how to be a well-rounded musician.

All lessons are conveniently located at the College, with days and times negotiated with you depending on the availability of our instrumental teachers.
