On a Saturday morning, mid way through term two, St Michael’s College opens its doors to students and parents, current, past and prospective and members of the public to ‘come and see’ a sample of the life of the College. As well as the many parents looking for enrolment of their son or daughter, many grandparents also accompany their grandchildren, keen to see where their grandchild might come to school. The morning provides a wonderful opportunity to discuss the offerings of the college in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
As well as a program of events highlighting the academic, spiritual, cultural and sporting life of the school, there are displays, both static and interactive, and a presentation from the College Principal. There is ample opportunity to wander the truly beautiful grounds and to speak to teachers and students about what life at St Michael’s is like. The Parents and Friends offer sustenance and refreshment at their bar-b-que and the hospitality department runs a popular coffee shop. Student leaders conduct tours of the campus for those who like a more structured approach to viewing the school.
For those seeking enrolment in the following year, the principal’s secretary will book an enrolment interview time. A college prospectus is available for those who are at the stage of a general enquiry only.
College Open Morning for 2013 is the 4th May from 9.00am - 11.30am, click here to view the Open Morning flyer.
