St Michael’s College is involved in two language tours: one for Japanese and one for French.
The Japanese trip takes place every second year during the September holidays and is open to all students. The two-week tour starts in Tokyo and continues to Hiroshima, Osaka, Takayama and Nii-jima. The students then spend six days with a host family, where they encounter Japanese life at our sister school in Hakata. Students from our sister school also come to St Michael’s every year for English immersion.
The French trip takes place every second year for three weeks during the Christmas holidays. Only students who study French may go on the trip. Students spend five days in Paris where they get to see the Eiffel Tower and other famous monuments. They then move to Dunkerque where they spend just over two weeks with a host family from our Sister school. Here students are completely immersed in French culture.
In the February, those same French students then come to St Michael’s to spend three weeks in Australia.
